The Small and Midmarket Business team (SMB) is responsible for Microsoft’s business planning, revenues, and relationship strategy with 12 million worldwide customers. The extended SMB team includes the SMB employees in all of the worldwide geographies which hold local accountability for profitability, market share, and excellence in Customer and Partner experience (CPE).
This newly created role within SMS&P will be responsible for managing and supporting the A-13 implementation of the strategic framework for growing revenue and improving CPE through the Tele-sales channel.
This role has the following five major areas of ownership responsibility:
Working with the MGO, GPO and LCA organizations the Vendor Strategy manager will compile and review the different vendor contracts currently place to provide Tele-sales services to SMSP&EPG.
Develop and apply a capability assessment of the different vendors; and deliver a rating and ranking framework for assessing their ongoing performance.
Produce a standardized set of KPIs for monitoring the vendor performance.
Design and propose a framework for creating scale through the possible consolidation of vendors at the Regional, Area and Subsidiary level.
Design and manage the analysis needed to determine the criteria for whether FTE and/or vendor resources should be applied at the Regional, Area or Subsidiary level ,for segment specific Tele-sales engagement model.
Skills required:
A minimum of five years experience in leading a business tele-operation (i.e., sales, service and/or support) that included vendor management
Demonstrated success in applying program management tools and techniques to achieve business objectives
Strong IT industry knowledge
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with business modeling and a basic understanding of corporate finance
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Microsoft Project
