Position: Partner Strategy Marketing Manager

Location: Redmond, WA

Summary:

This is a highly visible senior manager position that will be part of a team driving partner strategy and satisfaction across the entire Partner Ecosystem within the US subsidiary. As part of the US Partner Group this position will have primary responsibility for collaborating with key leaders in the business to drive the foundation of an overarching strategic vision for a complex & changing channel environment consisting of 100,000+ partners who are responsible for a majority of Microsoft’s revenue into the small and midsize customer segments. We are looking for someone with a deep passion for partners and extensive knowledge of the channel. The Sr. Manager, Partner Strategy must have the ability to identify problems and issues; handle complex situations; and develop alternative solutions by collecting and interpreting data, and drawing valid conclusions.
The mission of the Sr. Manager, Partner Strategy in the US Partner Group is to design, execute, and deliver the required analysis to support core decision making by leaders in the business. Through the design, development and implementation of a strategic Partner Framework the Sr. Manager, Partner Strategy will assist leaders in the business to drive growth and loyalty in a competitive Partner Ecosystem.

Key Roles/Responsibilities:

Design frameworks, models, and metrics to evaluate strategies
Design, execute and deliver required analysis to support core decision making
conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis partner profiling and segmentation synthesize data and interpret results. Identify information from multiple sources, and implement the knowledge. Take a long-term view, recognize trends, and review analysis to interpret potential opportunities
Act as a valuable contributor in team discussions, who is sought out by others to share important information, and assist others in solving problems
Communicate the best strategies and tactics for Microsoft, evaluating various competitive response scenarios, and develop proactive recommendations
Gather competitive intelligence

Qualification Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. You should be willing and able to travel in the US 10-20% of the time, and this position is based in Redmond, WA.

Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree or higher in marketing, math, statistics, business or equivalent. MBA Preferred. At least 7-10 years experience in business analysis, preferably in a technology company. Strong working knowledge of marketing and the channel.

Language Skills: Experience in effectively translating complex data and analysis to all levels within an organization. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management. Ability to write reports and create management presentations.

Mathematical Skills: Strong analytical skills. Ability to interpret marketing data.

Other Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills. Excellent planning, time management, and organization skills. Must be a self starter.
