A contact of mine is on a retained search for VP Sales/COO for a FT position in Buffalo NY.  As I understand it the company is a subsidiary of the Hearst Company.  They product national telephone directories and are converting for fully digital distribution.

Dynamic, well established company seeks a VP Sales / COO to run the company from a business development perspective. We are seeking a top-caliber, experienced business leader with strong sales management and operational leadership, with experience in a sizeable and fast-growth, Internet based company. This position is designed to be the succession plan for the CEO role. Grow to run a multi-million dollar company in its entirety.  Work closely with an outstanding leadership team and in a company that has a sizeable national presence, and the resources and career path to enable your career to skyrocket! 5+ years experience in a Sales Executive role in a High tech / Internet Based company is required. Proven experience growing sales through driving outbound and inbound sales teams is required. Demonstrated strategic leadership experience with a successful career progression through the Sales ranks is required. Strong Operational, metrics driven Business Management skills are required. Experience in a Business-to-Consumer, Internet based, product or service company is required. New revenue idea generation, planning and execution experience is required. A Masters Degree in Business, or a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with a business concentration is required.  Outstanding presentation and analysis skills are required.  Strong MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills must accompany Board Level press and polish.
