Position: Linux Systems Administrator

Location: Mountain View, CA

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Setup, maintain and troubleshoot hardware, OS, Storage, Networks

- Developing and maintaining scripts for monitoring and reporting various aspects of system performance, resource utilization, and application usage

- Work with development team to deploy code

- Developing and maintaining scripts and systems for automating software deployments, updates and process documentation

- Performance tuning and troubleshooting complex system and application issues


- BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

- A minimum of 3 years Linux system administration experience

- Candidate must have the ability to complete tasks with very little supervision and superb ability to work well with others in a team environment

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Exceptional problem-solving expertise and attention to detail

- Provide 24×7 support, Ready to work on Weekends and holidays, Occasional travel may be required

Required Skills:

- Strong Linux and Unix background (including kernel configuration capabilities)

- Experience with one of more of the following scripting languages: Perl, Shell scripting, Php, Python

- Extensive experience with open source tools and applications such as Apache, Bind, CVS,SVN, Bugzilla, MySQL, Configuration Management Systems etc.

- Should have Administration Knowledge Requirements: Linux (Red Hat Enterprise), Apache, PHP, MySQL

- Strong understanding of system and network security strategies

- Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Munin

- Knowledge of Load balancers a plus point

- Knowledge of Cisco IOS and PIX a plus point
