We are currently in need of a Product Specialist-Sun to join our Sun Solutions Group in the Boston, NYC, or New Jersey.

Job Summary:

Design, configure, quote and present IT infrastructure systems in the Sun practice in close cooperation with sales personnel. Work in a quality, professional manner to create persuasive client presentations and quotations, in a timely manner, resulting in high customer satisfaction.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Act as a technical SME in the Sun practice for clients: Gather client requirements on IT infrastructure system configurations, including hardware and software.
- Present product roadmaps, specifications, promotions, announcements through client briefings that align product offerings to the client requirements.
- Collaborate with client and Forsythe architects to develop successful solutions.
- Channel relations: Work as the regional FSG channel representative with vendor(s) in the Sun practice to develop a network of contacts and build the regional relationship.
- Conduct existing/new account planning with vendor channel and direct account managers.
- Attend vendor training on products and roadmaps.
- Work with vendor personnel to establish opportunity registrations for optimized program/deal discounting.
- FSG Sales Support: Work with account managers to support opportunity pursuit and the regional GPM goals in the designated practice. Communicate solution designs to Associate PS for quotation. Conduct client meetings to support proposals/quotes.
- Problem escalation: serve as the escalation point for client issues regarding product delivery or configuration. Take the initiative to quickly resolve issues to maintain customer satisfaction.

Minimum and/or Preferred Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

- Desired: BA/BS College Degree in engineering, computer science or technology related field
- Required: High school graduation or GED

EXPERIENCE:

- Required: Four years of IT infrastructure technical experience
- Direct system engineering or support experience involving the design/configuration of Sun hardware, software and services solutions at an enterprise level with two or more product lines in the designated Forsythe practice.
- Direct involvement in working with internal and external teams to sell technical configurations of Sun hardware, software and services.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

- Desired: One or more technical certifications in the designated Forsythe practice, or equivalent work experience

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

- Demonstrated ability to gather client requirements and align vendor solutions to client IT Infrastructure systems and configurations in the designated practice.
- Demonstrated consulting expertise (gather requirements, problem solve and recommend) in mid sized and Fortune 1000 customer environments
- Demonstrated ability to achieve high level of Customer Satisfaction
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Strong selling and client presentation skills
- Excellent Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint skills
- Ability to acquire technical skills
