Role: Research Associate

Reports to: Director of Assay Development

Requirement:
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate with a background in molecular biology and/or related discipline to participate in the development of novel applications based on STAR technology. The successful applicant will support Scientists within the Platform Development group as appropriate with level of experience. The ideal candidate will hold a Medical Technologist (MT) or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years experience or M.S. degree with 3+ years experience in molecular techniques which should include nucleic acid isolation, basic cloning techniques and detection of nucleic acids, especially by PCR. Research associates are also responsible for general laboratory duties. Computer literacy (e.g., MS Word, MS Powerpoint) and experience with software programs for data analysis (MS Excel) is a plus. Strong communication, problem solving skills and the ability to function and communicate effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment are essential.
