locate candidates for the following opportunity:
Senior Hardware Sustaining Engineer

Responsibilities:
Position Description:

This engineer will be responsible to take on all hardware sustaining
engineering activities for on - going products-

Projects will include component qualification, compliance testing,
manufacturing support, and managing outside contractors-

The successful candidate must be a self - starter capable of working
independently, have excellent communication skills, and be a solid team
player, motivated, goal oriented, able to work with top-notch team in a
fast-paced environment-

Support operations in Failure Analysis, and provide corrective action
recommendations-

Requirements:

- Ability to do EOL planning (working with the operations team) of major
components on on-going platforms-

- Qualify components including managing the qualification through a contract
manufacturer and/or 3rd party engineering services-

- Manufacturing support including release documentation, ECO creation, 2nd
source component approval, NPI support, troubleshooting system to component
level-

- Compliance Engineering including, regulatory, safety, and/or Factory
inspection

- Interface to the Change Control Board (CCB) and responsible for hardware
engineering approval for change orders-

- Utilize system software debug to analyze root cause of problems, and to be
able to identify the gaps and areas of improvements in the software
diagnostics-

- Troubleshoot systems to component level and provide root cause corrective
action

- Work closely with Tech Support, operations and Repair groups to improve
product quality and reliability and identify process improvements-

- Must be able to provide hands - on support in engineering lab activities
(System Troubleshooting, qualification testing and validation steps-

- Must have standard hardware test equipment experience including
oscilloscopes, logic analyzer, etc-

- Must know processor, chipset, SAS, Gigabit Ethernet, SSL technologies-

Required Previous Experience:

- Expert level in x86 system architecture with hands - on system design
familiarity-

- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering with minimum 5 years experience

Desired Skills:

- Some Mechanical knowledge a plus-
