Job Description:
The Test Automation Manager is responsible for the development and
support of test tools for Engineering. These tools are used by SQA and
development. This includes the analysis and design of test harnesses,
automation processes, test results database and analysis tools. Define
strategy for collecting reporting results and develop virtualizations,
charts and reports from the data. Understand software quality best
practices, test strategy and planning, test case development, test case
deployment and execution, test data, defect tracking, and test
automation;actively participates in process movements. Review test plan
requirements simple to high complexity and develop an automation
strategy for them. Manage test automation team providing leadership,
planning and organization.

Additional responsibilities include:
- Manage internal and external QA resources
- Establish QA metrics and tracking
- Establish QA process and guidelines for storage product lines
- Evaluate and lead testing for SAN host platforms
- Create and document test plans, test cases and test data
- Develop and implement QA qualification criteria for
HOST/HBA/OS/Fabric/DMP/Cluster combinations
- Define and maintain the project plan, schedule and timeline for
the various test windows. Analyze and report QA test results, project
tracking and product release readiness
- Understand and perform risk mitigation to meet deadlines.
Perform hands on host platform QA testing
- Gather lessons learned for future test cycles and incorporate
movements
- Provide product enhancement recommendations based on data
analysis
- Excellent demonstrated ability in hiring, motivating, and
managing employees

Experience and Skills:
- BSEE/CS/CE or equivalent required. MSEE/CS/CE preferred
- 10 years of QA experience. 4+ years of recent experience in
leading/managing software QA or development teams
- Experience in developing test automation tools
- Provide management leadership of software development or quality
assurance
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with optimizing deployment of human and hardware
resources within a multi-project organization
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with an aptitude for
supervising/directing quality assurance engineers along with a proven
history of making product lifecycle process improvements
