Position Responsibilities - Summary:
The firm’s Client Applications team provides and maintains applications to
support client-facing activities including Client Reporting, Relationship
Management, Business Development, Marketing, and Product Management.

The Client Applications team is seeking a Lead Systems Analyst to be part of
a global IS team that provides 24×7 user and production support services.
This individual will directly provide user support and operational
assistance to over 200 Boston-based users.

This position requires a high level of interaction with business and
technical groups to resolve investment data, client reporting, and
application issues.

- Strong understanding of Equity, Fixed Income and Derivative
instruments, analytics and client reporting are important for this role

- This individual should also be adept in writing SQL commands and
navigating relational databases to resolve investment data issues

Detailed Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive user support, particularly with respect to
investment data and client reporting issues. Track, resolve, and report on
support and enhancement requests, in a timely and thorough manner

- Ensure the continuous availability and operational resiliency of a
suite of Client Applications and related components

- Establish and maintain effective client relationships by having a
high degree of continuous interaction with the end users.

- Work with user to proactively identify opportunities for new and
improved systems

- Take ownership of production incidents, collaborate with others on
remediation, and manage these issues through to a satisfactory completion

- Provide support for other Firm wide initiatives such as Disaster
Recovery testing, Database upgrades, security audits, infrastructure
upgrades, etc.

- Stay abreast of the “state of the art” as it relates to Support,
both within the firm and throughout the industry

Required Skills and Competencies:
- Minimum of ten years of professional experience with at least five
years in investment management or financial services

- Strong understanding of investment data, equity, fixed income and
derivatives instruments and analytics

- Demonstrated client focus and relationship management skills

- Strong SQL query skills and experience with Oracle/SQL Server
relational databases and tools

- Hands-on experience supporting a Client Reporting platform or
processes a strong plus

- Previous experience acting in a business analysis/developer
capacity, including software requirements gathering is preferred

- Prior hands-on experience with Java/Unix/Weblogic solutions a
strong plus

- Bachelor’s degree is required; Computer Science or MIS degree is
preferred

- CFA charter, or work towards one is preferred

Keys to this Position:
1.  The candidate should be very familiar with Equities, Fixed Income,
Derivatives and the Analytics around those instruments.

2.  Strong prior working knowledge of Investment Data is required.   The
ability to query data and retrieve data from depositories is required.

3.  Strong ability to run a Bridge Call and Resolve Investment Data issues
around Client Reporting is a requirement.

4.  Strong Client Relationship skills are required.
