Real-Time Innovations (RTI) is the leading vendor of high-performance
network middleware for real-time applications. RTI’s publish-
subscribe messaging connects hundreds of computers into an integrated
high-performance distributed application. It is the industry’s
fastest, most integrated, real-time distributed infrastructure,
offering dramatic improvements in latency, throughput, and
scalability. It also seamlessly integrates Complex Event Processing
(CEP) engines, databases, and SOA architectures for quick decision
and enterprise capability.

RTI has hundreds of successful designs in the defense, intelligence,
finance, medical, industrial control, transportation, and
communications industries, with particular penetration into military
and transportation. RTI software, for instance, is designed as the
communications backbone of nearly every active design for US Navy
surface ships and their associated radars, sensors, and onboard
systems. In fact, the Data Distribution System (DDS) standard that
RTI pioneered and leads is now mandated for most US military
networked communications, is rapidly being adopted in similar systems
overseas, and is gaining wins in major applications in transportation
systems such as air traffic control.

The recent demand for “low latency” trading solutions in financial
services offers an opportunity for RTI to expand into another
market. RTI’s technology is faster and more reliable than most
competitors in the market, and has done well in early comparative
competitions. RTI recently opened an office on Wall Street in New
York to capitalize on this opportunity.

RTI was founded by Stanford researchers. Our embedded business
delivers a $10+m run rate with 20% annual growth. The services
business is currently about $2m, with potential far beyond that.

At RTI, you can build a great department and company, build your
career, and build the future.

As the VP of Services, you will report directly to the CEO and be a
key member of the executive management team. You will work closely
with our sales, engineering, and marketing teams to build our
reputation for offering excellent value to customers.

In this position, you are responsible for building the services
business. You will recruit, guide, mentor, and coach a talented
engineering services team. The team’s role includes consulting,
training, and project management. You are also responsible for
fiscal performance; you will work with sales to grow our
international services business. Depending on your experience, the
position may also include managing technical support.

You will need a strong sense of urgency and a “can do” attitude. You
will drive the strategy, but must be able to execute and develop
process as well. You must be very flexible, quick to learn, and
adaptable. Expect at least 40% travel.

Responsibilities include: setting services vision, developing and
executing the business plan, operating the services business
profitably, working with sales to close opportunities, and
implementing process. To succeed in this role, you must have ability
to match appropriate resources with incoming work and then
effectively manage people, progress, sales, and customers.

We offer great challenge, technology, pay, benefits, and equity. We
will give you a chance to work with talented people; people who know
that their success depends on your success, that teamwork does make a
difference, and that the journey is to be enjoyed. There is no better
place to take the next step on your path. Come help us shape the
future of real time.

Equal Opportunity Employer.
