Job: Sr. QA Automation Lead - Full Time

Details:
The successful candidate must be able to define test strategy and
refine the QA process if needed, create test cases/plans based on
system requirements and design specifications, execute test cases and
report test results, identify potential software issues and provide
relevant data points to assist debugging, collect test metrics and
perform trending analysis.
The candidate should be able to establish and drive the adoption of
automated test tool, implement automated test cases to ensure a
uniform and predictable approach to functional and regression testing
in each QA cycle.
Technical Skill Requirements:
A minimum of 5+ years of QA experience developing test plans,
performing test cases execution, and collecting/reporting test metrics.
At least 3+ years testing large volume, high traffic, transactional,
multi-tenant software as service applications.
Experience in testing applications based on Java API, J2EE and web
technologies.
Experience with QA process and tools. Ability to analyze test metrics
and provide various test reports (e.g. defect trending).
Experience in developing test harness and regression tests to
streamline test execution cycles.
Knowledge of scripting tools such as Perl, Python, or Shell is a big plus.
Experience in using and/or developing test automation tools/harnesses
(e.g. WinRunner, LoadRunner, Silk)
Knowledge in basic Java programming skills/tools and SQL would be a
plus (e.g. Jmeter, JUnit, Jira, Ant, Oracle, MySQL)
Experience working in Linux/Unix environment.
Experience with performance and load testing is a big plus.
BS/MS in Computer Science or a math-related degree.
Skilled at learning new technologies and translating that learning
into successful implementations.
Detail-oriented and self-disciplined.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and define test strategy and test plans based on product
requirements and functional specifications
Execute test cases and report problems in a defect tracking system per
defect reporting guidelines.
Collect test metrics and report them in a systematic fashion.
Analyze and identify potential problems, and work closely with
development team to identify and resolve technical issues.
Design and implement of automated tests and/or tools.
Work in geographically distributed team environment. Coordinate test
activities across multiple sites.
Follow QA process and maintains documentation of test results, and any
test data to assist the debugging of software issues.
Work closely with Operations team to ensure successful product and
solution deployment. Provide assistance to operations team if needed.
Work independently and make effective use of his/her time and be able
to handle and manage multiple tasks list with minimal supervision.
Take the initiative to co-ordinate with other team members as
necessary for the assigned task to ensure the project is not blocked
across the entire team.
Review functional specifications and architecture design.
Adjust priorities based on company need and function effective in team
setting.
