Role:
DFM Engineer

Apple has an immediate need for a highly resourceful DFM Engineer responsible for product development and manufacturing activities from concept through release. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who jumps in and gets results in a challenging environment.

Responsibilities:
-Coordinating the interactions between Apple engineering, purchasing, test engineering, other internal functional groups and outside vendors.
-Resolving manufacturing problems by applying knowledge and skills, escalating design, manufacturing, and product test issues to other people within the organization when appropriate.
-Focusing on process improvement which will result in reducing process cycle time, increasing quality and reducing cost.
Performing Design for Manufacturability (DFM) analysis, Design for Cost (DFC) analysis, and process optimization for quality and productivity improvement.

Basic Requirements:
-Excellent Knowledge of PCB/PCBAmanufacturing process and technologies
-Experience with both SMT and PTH technologies
-Knowledge of both Rigid boards and Flex circuits International travel is required.

Desirable Requirements:
Experience working with contract manufacturing and ODM vendors.
Strong knowledgeof JEDEC orICP standards
Experience with Valor or IG a plus
BS degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial technology.
