Position: Engagement Manager Opportunity - Southfield, MI

Job Summary:
Manage billable projects to time, budget and contracted deliverables.  PM
will be responsible to the NetApp Program Manager for managing and/or
coordinating delivery of multiple concurrent customer projects.   The PM is
a hands-on individual with a combination of business and technical
leadership skills. The PM will be responsible for gathering customer
requirements and translating those requirements into technical solutions
which solve business issues.  Based on implementation experience, the PM
determines the number and type of team members needed to successfully drive
project deliverables. The PM will support the complete PS project life-cycle
from inception through customer acceptance.   Including support and/or
coordination of technical components of the scope e.g. detailed
architectural blueprints, migration plan and configuration, technical
transfer of knowledge, etc.

Essential Functions:
- Coordinate project definition and business tracking of professional
service opportunities
- Drive and/or coordinate defined architecture, design,  and
implementation of proposed solution
- Hands-on skills in managing delivery of complex storage solutions,
and driving identified PS business initiatives
- Identify, pull together and drive project activities of teams and
partner sources
- Manage project to time, budget and contracted deliverables
(including planning, scheduling, milestone reviews etc.)
- Drive project reviews for management and customers
- Liaison with necessary teams within NetApp to achieve above items

Requirements:
- 7+ years in providing team leadership and project management
services.   Minimum of 2 years of storage technology experience is
preferred.
- Direct experience managing billable projects for external customers.

- In-depth knowledge and demonstrative skills of project management
methodologies.
- Technical skills / consulting experience in providing storage
solutions a plus.
- .
- Superlative communications skills (written, verbal) are required.
- Ability to coordinate and adapt service requirements to diverse
customer environments.
- This position will require periodic travel.  Travel estimates should
be considered at 30% for day to day assessment, but may fluctuate to a
greater or lesser degree based on current project requirements, candidate’s
location, and other business initiatives.
- Hands on experience utilizing standard IT tools, i.e., Microsoft
Project, Excel, Outlook, Visio, etc.

Education:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or
equivalent professional experience
- Project Management Institute certification a plus, i.e. PMP
