Position: Quality Assurance Lead Engineer, Grid Computing
Location: Santa Clara, Ca.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Proven experience in Software QA with focus on testing backend server components (no UI testing)
- Recent Unix/Linux experience
- proficiency in Java or C++
- hands-on experience with white box and black box testing, automation testing, and script
languages such as Perl/Shell
- strong UNIX/LINUX command-line troubleshooting background
- demonstrated experience in testing and troubleshooting complex, distributed enterprise systems
- experience with performance testing theories, methodologies, analysis and tools
- strong understanding of all aspects of the QA role, and all areas of application testing

Minimum Leadership Qualifications:

- demonstrated ability to prioritize work effort & ensure that tasks are completed on schedule to meet business initiatives
- demonstrated leadership role in delivering quality software/web based products
- experience in developing and fostering relationships cross functionally with program, product, & engineering managers
- demonstrated experience in recruiting, developing, & managing a testing organization
- detailed understanding of the entire development cycle
- experience with implementing successful automated testing strategies and tools
- excellent team building skills, including cross-functional team building
- effective verbal and written skills
- strong organizational and process skills
- capacity for attention to details

Preferred Job Qualifications:

- bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree
- 5-10 years experience in Software QA with focus on testing backend server components (no UI testing)
- 2-4 years of recent Unix/Linux experience
- knowledge of open source test tools
- experience working with remote development staff and QA teams
- experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- experience in one or more of these areas:
- parallel, distributed or grid computing
- multi-threaded application development
- developing test harnesses
