Position: Program Manager and Technician at AgileNano

Details:
(a) Product Development/Program Manager. Hands on performance and management
of internal R&D and funded programs (planning, financial management,
customer relations, project performance, etc.) We need someone familiar with
much of the following: Nanotechnology,  chemical surface treatments, package
design and fabrication, scaling up chemical manufacturing processes
(including product dispensing), and tailoring our products for customer
applications. This person needs demonstrated experience executing programs
on cost/schedule while meeting all specifications. Experience
writing/supporting winning proposals and with Government contracts are big
plusses.  10-15 years industry experience required.

(b) Jack of all Trades Technician. Much of the job will be chemical
processing and packaging. Lifting and manipulating 10-15 pound flasks of
material are required. Additional duties include developing/documenting
process procedures, performing hands on experiments with alternate chemicals
and packaging methods, performing in-process and final product testing,
coordinating supplier requirements and in-house inventory control.  This
person is possibly out of the Biotech or Biomed industries. Military
experience as a technician (particularly in a trouble shooting role) or
detail oriented mechanic is a plus.

About AgileNano:
AgileNano is commercializing an energy absorbing nanotechnology-based
liquid. It has military applications (minimizing traumatic brain injury,
minimizing blast lung injury, use as vehicle armor) and commercial
applications (running shoes, protective equipment, sound absorbing, etc.).
Customer demand has been exceptional. We need to step up efforts to get
higher volume samples into their hands.

The product works by treating nanoporous silica or carbon particles to be
hydrophobic (water hating). When the particles are suspended in liquid,
external pressure forces the liquid over the enormous surface area of the
nanopores, absorbing a tremendous amount of energy very rapidly. Energy
absorption rates and capacities are several order of magnitude higher than
conventional materials. Recent tests at the Balboa Naval Medical Center have
shown that if all the blast energy went through our material it would
represent the difference in a soldier with moderate brain injury and no
injury at all.

Referrals to top notch candidates would be appreciated. We need a couple of
experienced people who are organized self-starters and who can work for a
combination of salary and equity.
