Position: FTE QA Engineer

Our clients’ QA Team is set up differently, in that the candidate that fills this role will work closely with a specific development team. The team is Agile and you will work with them to determine test strategy. While you will not be tasked with writing code, we do expect you to be able to read and understand code as well as to be able to interpret automated test results. The role is focused towards black box testing, but having an attitude and desire to learn is also required.
Responsibilities:
Determine the appropriate testing strategy for each Sprint deliverable
Work with Developers to provide an appropriate test environment and tools for testing Sprint deliverables
Execute manual and automated tests, interpret the results, and diagnose basic test failures
Set up test environments, reading log files, testing APIs and inspecting databases/data files

Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical subject, including engineering, mathematics, the sciences, or philosophy
Experience working with Web technologies, including SQL, HTML/CSS, Web servers, or application servers
Experience working with Mac, Linux, Windows and Mobile Devices
Strong analytical capabilities - we love people with backgrounds in science or math and people who enjoy puzzles
Front to Back end testing is required
Huge plus if you have used Selenium or MySql
Ability to read log files
