Position: Engineering Program Manager III

In this position, the individual will Project Manage the development and implementation of a company’s products involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. The individual will plan and direct schedules, monitor the project from initiation through delivery, organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints and may monitor budget/spending.

This is an individual contributor role with responsibility for project managing the Firmware/Software development of a number of concurrent programs. Responsibility includes developing project plans and schedules, managing project activity according to processes, and interfacing with internal customers to negotiate requirements, to establish overall work plans, and to communicate status on an ongoing basis. Project management includes coordination and driving of multi-site, multi-disciplinary activity, and close coordination with technical management to ensure optimal utilization of resources, tracking to established project budget, and ensuring on-time completion of program deliverables.

This position requires a BS/BA degree or equivalent with 6+ years of related experience. The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment. The individual must be self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have also demonstrated ability to work well with people and have a proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team. In addition, the individual must have the abilities to work effectively cross-functionally, coordinate priorities and initiatives, troubleshoot and analyze complex problems, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are required.
