Position Summary:

Director level SW Product Management of World-Wide Defense Based Software - (Real Time - Embedded Software Systems/Products)

Strong customer facing skills - proven ability to straddle technical content and business value in formal and informal discussions with customers.

Requires strong business acumen.

Lead the creation and implementation of new business models for SW sales.

Responsible for the SW group results, including business metrics reported quarterly to Sr. Management.

Develop, train and maintain customer-ready roadmap for World-Wide sales organization.

Establish and maintain 3rd party SW partners.

Evangelize unique SW value add in key accounts leading to Design Wins.

Develop and drive Anti-Tamper and Security SW including business model strategy.

Proven ability to effectively negotiate time phased product requirement priorities with Engineering and Sales to get the optimal business result.

Position Responsibilities:

Lead small group with the following responsibilities:

- Develop competitive information and publish internally

- Establish and maintain product pricing

- Develop Product Requirement Documents (PRDs)

- Develop and maintain product plans and roadmaps

- Define, track and improve key product metrics

- Work with all areas of organization to ensure readiness of new product including, engineering, services, education, finance, administration, sales, and support

- In conjunction with engineering, develop and maintain a scalable SW part number, pricing, and revision control construct that serves both sales efforts and engineering control.

- Lead planning activities for future investments

- Partner with Capture Group / Sales and represent SW with key customers


Required Skills and Competencies:

- BS in engineering, computer science; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.

- 10 + yrs of senior level Product Management positions with a proven track record in defining and launching high-technology software products.

- Solid understanding of target marketplace - Defense Software (Real Time - Embedded Software Systems/Products)

- Strong technology background in Real Time - Embedded Software Systems/Products.

- Some Business Development and /or Product Marketing Experience preferred

- Entrepreneurial spirit and acts with a sense of urgency

- Strong leadership skills and ability to build strong partnering relationships with customers and outsourced partners

- Demonstrated ability to foster cross-functional teamwork among Sales, Engineering, Operations and Marketing

- Strong technical skills with an ability to quickly assimilate new ideas and concepts

- Effective and proactive written, verbal, presentation and communication skills

- Must be a US Citizen with an (Active Secret Level Clearance or the Ability to Secure)
