Job Summary:
As a Technical Content Developer on our Advanced Troubleshooting
Training team, you will provide content design, development, and
delivery of knowledge and skills to internal technical audiences. You
will team with subject matter experts to develop advanced in-depth
technical training content for a global support organization, gathering
raw content and creating training material that is thorough, scalable,
structured and interesting.   You can also expect to provide training to
our technical audience.

This position requires ability to work in a fast pace dynamic
environment with minimal guidance,   as you will interacts independently
with stakeholders to scope projects, and self project manage while
actually developing/delivering the content.  You might work with outside
contractors or vendors as part of the project team, so clear
communications and negotiation skills are essential.   Some domestic and
international travel will be required for this role

Job Requirements:
- Experience in training content development for storage
industry, fluency at administrator level in Unix, Windows, and/or Linux
environments
- Technical proficiency on NetApp hardware and software
products.

- 6-8 years experience in technical training development

- Must be flexible, creative, have the ability to work with
minimal supervision, be a self-starter and multi-task

- Quickly assimilate technical knowledge and skills as needed

- Clear communication skills, spoken and written

- Highly skilled in multimedia development.

- Experience using Word, PowerPoint, FrameMaker, Dreamweaver,
Flash, Authorware, Captivate, Camtasia and other content development
tools

- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.

- Experience in training content development for storage
industry, fluency at administrator level in Unix, Windows, and/or Linux
environments,

- Demonstrated knowledge of skills transfer and adult learning
theory

- Experience training or working in a highly technical global
support environment a plus

- Previous instructor led, eLearning development and distance
learning delivery experience a plus

- Ability to apply course development standards, templates, and
style sheets.

- Follow the corporate style guide, Technical Publishing Guide,
Chicago Manual of Style, and department format guidelines.

- Comfortable with up to 10% travel.

- Demonstrated experience as a project or team leader,
developing and managing to project schedules on both an individual and
team basis.

Education & Experience:
- A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in technical course
development is required.
- A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree in Engineering or Computer
Science, or other related technical field; or a Master of Arts Degree in
Instructional Design; or equivalent experience is required.
- Program or Project Management experience is desired.
- Technical background in one or more of the following areas is desired:
* UNIX, Windows, NAS or SAN System Administration
* Oracle, Microsoft Exchange, SQL, networking of iSCSI
* CCNA or MCSE certification
- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex
technical tasks.
