My client, a public company approaching $200M+ in revenue with a strong cash
position, is the leading provider of computing systems and software for
data-intensive applications that include embedded computing systems and
software that combine image, signal, and sensor processing with information
management for data-intensive applications. They architect comprehensive,
purpose-built solutions that capture, process, and present data for defense
electronics, homeland security, and other computationally challenging
commercial markets.

Position Responsibilities:
- Perform benchmark analyses on the firm’s software products and
create as well as publish product characterization data
- Evangelize product in pre-sales situations
- May generate or assist in generating application notes on how to
use the firm’s products in various applications
- Validate solution maps from AEs and provide feedback on existing,
planned, and future software products
- Create and deliver technical presentations to customers, in
addition to developing hardware and software demos for tradeshows and
customer engagements
- Assist software product managers in business case development and
preparation of data sheets and all technical and product marketing content
- Work closely with Product Managers on technical product issues
related to quality, customers, sales and new product releases
- Map market and application requirements into the firm’s product
specifications to clearly define and communicate product requirements to
Hardware and Software Engineering.

Required Skills and Competencies:
- BSEE/BSCS/BSCE and 5+ year’s related experience in real-time
embedded processing background.
- GPU & CUDA experience or at a minimum, or a strong embedded
software systems products background
- Operating systems (Linux, VxWorks at a minimum) with an
understanding of real-time performance characterization
- Middleware (MPI, CORBA etc.)
- Math computing libraries (signal and image processing)
- Virtualization and security techniques
- Software development environments preferably using cross-compiling
techniques
- Knowledge of Intel x86 and Freescale PowerPC architectures as well
as GPUs
- An understanding of structured & component programming, SMP and
distributed computing models
- An understanding of key networking technologies
- Knowledge of multiprocessor and MultiCore software market and
technology trends
- Strong customer facing/presales experience with superior written,
verbal and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to foster cross-functional teamwork among
Sales, Engineering, Operations and Marketing
- Solid understanding of target marketplace - Defense
- Must be a US Citizen with an (Active Secret Level Clearance or the
