Position: Software Engineer

We are currently looking for a Software Engineer to join our growing Systems Management team.

Description:
The Systems Management team is responsible for all configuration management and monitoring functions of Data Domain systems. This includes things such as; user interface applications, monitoring daemons to watch hardware and software, alert/alarm mechanisms, SNMP, design and development of management interfaces, access control, services to manipulate configurations, and capabilities to plug-in to third party management frameworks.

Responsibilities:
Design, develop and maintain features within the Data Domain System Management team.
Write design specifications for new features related to Systems Management.
Participate in architecture discussions and reviews.
Work with other team members to determine, support, and qualify future requirements.
Support QA and SE on product verifications and customer qualifications

Qualifications:
Good C/C++ Experience
Good knowledge of protocols such as TCP/IP, Sockets, RPC, SOAP
Desirable experience with Java, XML, Perl, Python, Bison
Desirable knowledge of Alert/Alarm Mechanisms, SNMP, System Monitoring, Authentication & Authorization.
System Debugging design and implementation
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Should be a team player who likes to work in a high energy atmosphere
