Position: Senior Systems and Client Solutions Architect

Responsibilities:
Gain respect and rapport with the leadership of the Client Companies for deep technical knowledge, creative solutions, and broad technological expertise and vision.
Become a trusted Solutions Expert to the Customer Executives
Work closely with Business Owners to understand and shape business / functional requirements and corresponding technology solutions
Create and presents proposals, presentations and white papers to senior technical and business decision makers to win their support and influence their decisions
Define innovative and efficient architectural approaches for large projects, often across multiple technology areas
Oversee all aspects of implementation of the projects, usually carried by remote engineering team
Help with pre-sales and marketing events as requested by the management

Requirements:
Passion for technology and innovation. Strong desire to push the envelope, find commercial applications of big ideas, to create breakthrough solutions to the world’s biggest technological challenges
Passion for problem solving and ability to grasp on the fly essence of the challenge
Exceptional ability to sell ideas to technical and non-technical audience.
Excellent communication skills: customer skills, presentations, and/or written white papers, conference talks
Deep, fundamental understanding of technologies and exceptional design skills and experience defining solutions across multiple technology areas
Strong and extensive hands-on software engineering experience working on large scalable distributed systems
Ability to define and create application, data or operations architectures
Ability to proactively identify issues and coordinate resolutions
Ability to juggle work on several projects at the same time
Comfort in working with globally distributed teams
Willing to travel up to 20% to lead client engagements and support pre-sale activities

Pluses:
Background in financial applications, oil-and-gas industry, or infrastructures for high-traffic web commercial sites is a big plus
Knowledge of high-performance computing, parallel processing, scale-out computing, or grid computing
Management and leadership skills
Knowledge of basic administration of two out of three systems: Linux/Windows/Solaris
Strong academic background in Sciences
