Position is based in White Plains NY. Will report to the CIO and be
instrumental in developing Infrastructure and Applications for the
corporation globally.
Job Description:
The Director of Enterprise Infrastructure & Enterprise Applications role is
responsible for facilitating and supporting the design, development, and
implementation of EI/EA strategies to address diverse, complex technical
solutions with global implications. Candidate will work closely with the
Information Technology senior leadership team to establish support and
service strategies that will have a direct impact on process and competitive
capabilities.
Assumes a leadership role in the development, maintenance, and deployment of
IT infrastructure strategies, standards, policies and practices across in
the enterprise. Proactively initiates and drives process changes and
process improvements as they relate to the Enterprise Datacenters, Network
Services and Service Center operations.
Responsible for facilitating and supporting the design, development, and
implementation of Enterprise Application strategies to address diverse,
complex technical solutions with global implications.
Maximizes existing application capabilities and introduces new applications
to support new or changing operating structures and business requirements
focused on Finance, Payroll & HR and Shared Services operations as well as
Enterprise Collaboration and Communications including Internet and Intranet.
Candidate will have responsibility as a senior Information Technology Team
Member to develop and implement systems strategies and technology. Oversees
site audits, management team systems steering and is accountable to assure
that systems standards are established, documented and agreed to by IT
management are adhered to and implemented expediently.
The position will oversee a staff of approximately 115 - 125 Information
Technology professionals and a budget of approximately $35 million annually.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Lead the deployment of EI & EA vision, strategy (long and short term)
and tactical plans across ITT, achieving understanding and buy-in throughout
the company, supporting the corporate strategic agenda.
2. Effectively communicate EI & EA priorities and strategic initiatives
across the Enterprise. Works closely with Management Companies (MC) and
Value Centers (VC) Management and IT Leaders to insure alignment and
integration with MC and VC plans.
3. Lead the consolidation of data centers, network management centers,
helpdesks, and desktop support operations.
4. Support the Headquarters, MC and VC in developing and implementing
effective application strategies to address diverse, complex business and
technical challenges.
5. Aid in the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of
service level metrics for the Enterprise Datacenters and Service Center.
6. Support the Headquarters, Management Companies and Value Centers in
developing and implementing effective EI strategies to address diverse,
complex business and technical challenges.
7. Directs Enterprise Applications Competency Centers. Works closely with
HQ, MG and VC’s insuring alignment regarding plans, projects, priorities,
funding and resources. Develop Service Level Agreements, define and monitor
application service level performance metrics. Maintain and continuously
improve application functionality and performance for existing Enterprise
Applications.
8. Chairs the Architecture Review Board chartered with review of major IT
project proposals to confirm alignment with corporate strategic agenda, the
Enterprise Information and Integration architecture as well as Enterprise
Infrastructure and Application standards and tools. Develop, maintain,
refresh and enforce application standards for ITT.
9. Remain abreast of industry actions and technical developments in
infrastructure. Recommend the appropriate technologies and market
applications to most effectively exploit EI and EA opportunities.
10. Develop, maintain, refresh and enforce infrastructure standards for ITT.
11. Well-developed and regularly demonstrated managerial competencies
including; leadership, teambuilding, self-confidence, results orientation,
interpersonal astuteness, visioning, strategic planning, and communications.
12. Responsible for the facilitation and oversight of IT Functional planning
and governance activities. Organizes and chairs monthly IT Council and IT
Steering team meetings.
13. Develops, implements, and oversees processes to aid in the evaluation,
selection, and management of strategic IT suppliers. In addition to defining
contract and management guidelines, incumbent will act as final arbiter of
service level disputes. Collaboration with Global Sourcing, Finance, Legal
and Technical teams will be required
14. Assists in the identification of critical support processes and metrics
to ensure that those processes are in control. Work closely with the CIO’s
and their teams to define, implement and execute problem-solving techniques.
15. Organize and oversee the execution of structured process audits and
operational reviews to drive the identification of IT process improvements.
16. Definition and communication of operational metrics to identify service
enhancement opportunities and drive infrastructure reinvestment decisions /
priorities.
17. Ability to leverage VBSS tools and methodologies to improve service to
ITT and their supported Value Centers.
Qualifications:
A) Minimum professional and educational background desired (include years of
experience).
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, MIS or related work
experience
7-10 years of professional level experience with a minimum of 5 years
experience in Information Technology Management required; with a minimum of
5 years experience in deploying global applications.
Demonstrable experience with SAP implementations
Strong background in the development of Process, Documentation and Service
Level Agreements is required
Should have a strong working knowledge of helpdesks and desktop support
operations
Solid problem solving and communication skills required
Excellent analytical and organizational skills required
VBSS Green Belt or Black Belt experience is preferred
MBA or Masters Degree is preferred

Compensation: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 (Salary)
