LogLogic is seeking an ambitious candidate who can grow with the
organization, wear multiple hats and take on increasing
responsibilities in a highly visible and strategic role inside the
Company. The ideal candidate operates as a ‘player coach’ who is hands-
on with the product; assists with product requirements and requests
for proposals as required; define overall product vision and product
lifecycle management processes.  The LogLogic product line-up is
rapidly expanding and now encompasses several log management,
compliance management, security event management and database activity
monitoring products.

Critical success factors include domain expertise within the security
and/or information protection market and significant tenure in product
management.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the entire product life cycle from product conception,
requirements to product beta and first customer ship for all of
LogLogic’s product lines.

- Own the feature management and project, feature and defect
prioritization process.

- Manage and improve the product lifecycle process and gate
stage reviews.

- Work closely with senior management, engineering, sales,
customer support, finance and manufacturing to set strategic direction
for existing and new products.

- Make critical trade-off decisions between functionality,
resources, and delivery timeframes.

- Work with the rest of the organization (support, professional
services, sales engineering, and others) to roll out new product
functionality.

- Evangelize the LogLogic solution with customers and partners
through executive-level briefings to strategic customers and
prospects, as well as blog postings and articles in the press.

- Connect team members and end users to enable a clear
understanding of important problems customers are trying to solve.

- Manage internal and 3rd-party partner relationships, as needed.

Requirements:

- Technical undergraduate degree required, advanced degree
preferred

- Fifteen years overall experience, including 8-10 years in
product management and/or product marketing in a relevant industry

- Experience with enterprise appliances, security or systems
management software a requirement

- Startup experience a plus

- Experience with formal product lifecycle management planning
a plus

- Working technical knowledge of a wide range of computer and
information systems, software applications, networking technologies,
security and storage technologies

- Ability to think strategically as well as willingness to roll-
up-the sleeves and do ‘whatever it takes’ to meet individual and
company goals

- Familiar with developer communities and new media such as
various online media, blogs, twitter etc.

- Strong end user/customer orientation

- Solid understanding of industry trends in security, systems
and storage management

- Ability to travel up to 30%
