Position Responsibilities - Summary:
My client is seeking talented Account Executives/Technical Sales Professionals (Hunters) with a strong background in storage and replication. The ideal candidate will become one of the firm’s first US employees and must be flexible and capable of wearing many hats. In this role, you will be responsible for researching, prospecting, selling, and consulting with major partners and their resellers to deliver to clients advanced storage solutions that incorporate the Company’s products. You will participate in the definition, architecture and design of solutions; communicate and position the firm’s product value propositions; and uncover, identify and evaluate the business and technical requirements of prospective clients. You will leverage the pre-existing relationships of your channel partners to build a pipeline. You will address questions, overcome technical objections and manage the overall sales cycle. You will be responsible for establishing trusted relationships with their clients, partners and colleagues.
-Research, prospect, consult and sell the firm’s Disaster Recovery Storage Solutions thru Major Data Storage Channels - True Hunter Role.
-Strategically uncover, identify and evaluate the business and technical requirements of prospective clients
-Help Address complex questions, overcome complex technical objections and manage the sales cycle
-Participate in shows, events and other industry forums to generate leads and follow on sales
-Drive proposals and RFP’s
-Work closely with the channel and prospective customers to provide advice, technical services and assist in developing solutions that fit customer needs
Required Skills and Competencies:
- 8 plus years of experience in an Account Executive/Technical Sales role is required.
-Significant, recent & broad experience selling EMC’s storage and replication product line is required; experience with the storage and replication offerings of the top 4 leading vendors is highly preferred. This includes sales expertise with Disaster Recovery, Data Replication & Mirroring, Asynchronous & Synchronous Replication, Back Up & Recovery, Storage Networks, IBM Storage Products, and EMC’s Clariion & Recover Point Product Lines.
-Prior sales experience working with major data storage partners, channels & resellers in the Data Storage market place. Prior experience presenting & selling complex technical solutions to customers is preferred.
-Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales quotas.
-Experience crafting complex solutions and developing proposals and RFP responses is required. Strong sales Storage subject matter expertise is required.
-A Bachelor’s degree is required and advanced degrees are preferred. Experience may be substituted for education.
-Must have high-energy work ethic, be flexible, agile, have the ability to wear many hats.
-Willingness to travel up to around 50% domestically with some International travel.
-Must be an effective team player accustomed to working with various functional groups & cultural groups.
-Superior communications, presentation, & consultative skills - Highly confident with a strong presence and an attitude to succeed - ability to establish, build and nurture strong client relationships. Up thru & including the “C” Level. -Comfortable in a startup environment.
