This is an inside, telephone based sales position, selling collaborative
software and SaaS solutions. The successful candidate will team with field software sales representatives and/or business partners in an assigned territory(s) to increase the overall sales performance of the territory. The Inside Sales Rep (iSR), reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, will work
collaboratively with the Field Sales Representatives, Lead Development Representatives and Business Partners. The iSR will work at an IBM sales center and daily presence is required in that sales office.

Primary Responsibilities:
Teaming with field sales representatives in assigned territory to develop an
effective territory plan to meet software and SaaS revenue goals and customer
satisfaction.

Identifying opportunities in assigned territory via prospecting, cross-selling
and up-selling.

Actively managing the progression of designated sales opportunities in assigned
territory with a particular focus on those transactions valued at <$50K.
Teaming with field sales representatives and/or business partners in assigned
territory to progress all sales opportunities to closure.
Committing to and delivering results based on monthly targets/forecasts.
Understanding and communicating the value proposition of IBM’s collaborative
software and SaaS solutions.

Additional Responsibilities:
Understanding complex product licensing, subscriptions and be able to apply to
customer needs Understanding internal process flows needed to book deals
Understanding IBM’s Firm Order Process

Skills Required:
Must be able to work independently, and prioritize both revenue generating and
non-revenue generating activities

Ability to articulate the value of IBM collaborative software and SaaS solutions
Strong ability to actively listen and determine customer needs
Strong objection handling skills
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
Excellent written communication skills
Strong organizational skills, discipline, with attention to detail and ability
to balance multiple tasks

Highly motivated, high energy, “can do” attitude, competitive self-starter with
a strong sense of urgency

High degree of confidence to interact with “C” level executives

Required At least 2 years experience in Software and/or SaaS Sales
English: Fluent

Preferred Bachelor’s Degree
