Position: Process Engineer job at Green Technology Start-Up

Overview:
Our firm is an energy efficiency start-up company in stealth-mode, that is focused on commercial and industrial lighting applications. Our proprietary technologies and software-based control systems unlock significant energy savings today and create a platform for the next generation “smart” lighting applications.  We are seeking a “hands-on”, self-starter individual to lead our manufacturing process improvements efforts for our prototype and contract manufacturing production lines. You will help us build and deliver world-class lighting and management control systems that deliver high performance and scalability for SMB’s to global 500 companies. This is a contract/contract to hire opportunity.

Responsibilities:
Provide engineering support to outsourced manufacturing Teams through the optimization of manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures in an effort to enhance yields, productivity and product quality

Reduce manufacturing costs:
Collaborate cross-functionally to explore and implement new techniques in line with GMP and Six Sigma
Provide training and support to contract manufacturing personnel
Provide timely and accurate documentation of manufacturing processes, policies, procedures, as well as full materials documentation

Requirements:
Senior level experience in a PCB and/or commercial lighting manufacturing environment.
BSEE/BSME or technical equivalent
Strong computer skills including AutoCAD and Solidworks
Recent Six Sigma or LEAN process improvement achievements
Demonstrated ability to communicate and effectively work cross departmentally and externally with all levels of an
