Our client, a global leader in the development and manufacture of
information technology and services needs to fill an opening for a
Network Engineer.

JOB DESCRIPTION - RESPONSIBILITIES:
Network Engineer
- Assist in defining network and security configuration/hardware
standards
- Assist in establishing CAPEX, OPEX budgets
- Function as the ES Lab routing/switching SME
- Assist in defining global support processes and operational tools
- Assist in defining technology roadmaps
- Lead resolution of critical network issues
- Reviews/approves all major changes to the network
- Design and implement networks to support the general hosting
service and projects with specific network requirements
- Design and implement network solutions hosted in the Internet DMZ
- Develops deployment/operations guides, logical/physical network
diagrams

REQUIRED SKILLS - EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 7 years network experience
- Maintain global network capacity plan
- Maintain network risk assessment plan
- Large LAN/WAN design experience including DMZ
- Strong hands on experience using OSPF/EIGRP/BGP/HSRP/VRRP
- Strong hands on switching experience using VTP/STP/RSTP/MSTP
- Current CCNP certification (preferred)
- Industry security certification (preferred)
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills using network analyzers
- Checkpoint, Juniper, or Cisco firewall experience
- Experience building Checkpoint virtual firewalls (preferred)
- Prior experience with HP Network Node Manager (Openview)
experience (preferred)
- Prior experience supporting server virtualization technologies
(i.e. VMware)
- Prior experience supporting application load balancers (preferred)
- Strong experience using multi-VRF (MPLS)
- Prior 3COM/H3C/HP ProCurve experience (preferred)
- Prior IPsec and GRE experience (preferred)
- Prior technical leadership experience (preferred)
- AAA experience
