Role: Technical Alliance Manager (SF)-Security
MUST HAVE experience working for a Security Software Company working with Security Solutions.
Must be based in No.CA â€¢ 3+ years experience in technical roles, with customer-facing
skills asan SE or Consultant working with security and desktop solutions.
â€¢ Thorough knowledge and experience with planning and configuring personal computer, networking, and security protocols and architectures. Inaddition, the candidate should be comfortable with operating system installations, troubleshooting and configuration, with specific emphasis on Windows 2000 & 2003 and Linux.
â€¢ He or she may be the sole VMware representative present at partner meetings.She or he should be an accomplished presenter of business and technical material to both small and large groups. The ability to present extemporaneously is required.
â€¢ Excellent organizational skills and comfort with a rapidly changing business environment are essential.
â€¢ The candidate should be able to grasp quickly and explain complex technologies well. He or she must be a self-starter and utilize excellent project management skills.
â€¢ Industry-recognized training and certification are preferred.
â€¢ A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering,Mathematics, related field or equivalent experience.
Manage the technical aspects of partner relationships including:
Support VMware Alliances by providing technical ennoblement to the Security/VDITAP
Partners in the following areas:
Provide product/API awareness and direction with referrals to additional technical resources in support of integration development and delivery where appropriate.
Assist partners’ testing and certification efforts with architectural reviews, best practices and guidance, product usage evaluation, technical support escalation, and collateral review.
Guidance and support of partners’ creation and delivery of Virtual Appliances.
Act as partner and industry-trend advocate with VMwareinternal stakeholders.
â€¢ Provide VMware Alliances with evaluation and prioritization of partners’ technical capabilities and contribution to the VMwareecosystem.
â€¢ Educate VMware sales force on partners’ Security and VDI-focusedintegrations / solutions and assist with customer inquiries/escalations.
â€¢ Represent VMware at partner trade shows, technical forums and events.
