Position Responsibilities - Summary:
Client support:
Case Management - priority definition - problem recreation - research of
solutions - issue resolution & documentation
Level 3 Support role - act as engineering escalation manager as warranted -
Person will handle the toughest issues that L1/L2 Support can not handle -
This person will either resolve the issue or determine if it is a product
defect and if s- document it for engineering - This requires someone with a
deep understanding of OS & DB’s and has the skills t- debug network, web
server, OS, & DB issues.
Maintenance of Lab Environment:
Required Skills and Competencies:
- 3-5 years of Technical Support experience or related - software
vendor experience preferred
- Strong technical skills including experience with multiple
databases, Windows & Unix
- Oracle - SQL - DB2
- Sybase experience a plus
- Ideal background would be someone wh- started out in software
engineering role and changed over t- a technical support career or possibly
a DBA wh- would like t- change over t- technical support.
- Strong problem trouble shooting skills
- Attention t- detail, strong written, oral communication and
analytical skills
- Strong customer satisfaction skills - responsive - proactive -
sense of urgency
- Ability t- work well in a team environment
- Ability t- manage conflicting priorities effectively
- Self-motivated and willing t- work in an energetic, fast paced
team environment
- Willingness t- work beyond a normal work week during crunch times
- BS Computer Science or related a big plus
