Technical Consultant - $80,000 to $90,000

Details:

This individual will be part of a team responsible for migrating applications from a Websphere v6 AIX platform to a Websphere v7 AIX platform. The individual who can understand the complexities of integrating multiple applications into an environment is beneficial. Tasks will include requesting and standing up Websphere clusters, enterprise applications (EARs, WARs, EJBs, etc.), data sources, and other Websphere artifacts to allow the migration from one Websphere environment to another. Assistance in unit, systems integration, and user acceptance testing will be required.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree from a top tier university in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- 2+ years relevant experience
- Application development experience
- J2EE/WebSphere Java experience
- UNIX experience (AIX preferred)
- Relational database/SQL experience
- XML experience helpful
- Familiarity with all phases of the systems Development Life Cycle
- Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
- Excellent at communicating both verbally and written Self-directed
