We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer with a sound understanding of new technologies and enthusiasm in building highly-scalable system infrastructures.
This position is full-time and you will be working out of our office overlooking Union Square in San Francisco, close to MUNI and BART.
Requirements:
5+ years experience writing high-performance, web-related software with Java.
Expert with object-oriented framework and design
Expert with client/server networked applications
In-depth knowledge of Unix, Windows, web servers, and application servers
Experience building highly scalable enterprise systems
Ability to write clean, coherent code
Ability to understand and master new technologies quickly
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Willingness to learn and to teach
Highly desired experience:
AJAX and other “rich web” techniques
Mobile web/WAP development
Spring (or other IoC containers)
Hibernate (or other ORM tools)
C development
Build systems such as Ant
Performance testing tools such as Grinder
Familiarity with Perforce
Already being a kyter doesn’t hurt
