This role will help identify and set internal and external direction for resolution and communication of customer issues and the closure of customer design wins. Successful candidate will act as a technical consultant to the PLM, project teams and Sales to generate ideas and solutions to problems that the team could otherwise not have resolved. This position requires the ability to lead and coordinate customer-facing programs and cross-functional teams (quality, marketing, operations, and sales) in all efforts to drive customer related initiatives.
Position Details:
- Support customers in designs employing JDSU transmission modules and components
- Understand customer requirements and communicate these to the business units and provide recommended solutions to address customer problems
- Facilitate agreement on specifications and requirements between the customer and business unit
- Provide technical analysis, competitive comparisons, product differentiation, assist in customer testing and confirm the product performs to JDSU specifications
- Post sales support to resolve technical issues at customer sites and ensure customer satisfaction
- Up top 25% travel
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in EE or equivalent, plus a minimum of 10 years relevant experience
- Strong background in application of fiber optic modules and components
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Must be a team player, able to interface well with other groups
- Strong project management skills
- Japanese or Chinese Language skills highly desirable
