Position: NPI Program Manager III job in SanDisk - Milpitas, CA

Job Description:
In this position, the individual will be responsible for driving the development of Serial new products from the concept phase through the pre-production phase, and through the ramp to full volume production. Projects will primarily involve products like SD, microSD, and M2. As the program manager, the individual will be responsible for the coordination and timely execution of engineering, marketing, and operational activities. This individual will also have the ability to initiate and manage multiple projects simultaneously and interact with many different groups and levels of people, both internally and externally. The individual must have a commitment to do everything possible to ensure the team’s success as well as the flexibility to quickly re-direct efforts based on new information. The individual will need to take ownership of the coordination of new product development schedules including specifications and qualification, quality requirements, volume/capacity, product
ion plans, and cost and will also manage a core team and cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain Management, Product Marketing and Product Management to meet NPI objectives.

This position requires a BS/BA degree or equivalent with 7 or more years of related experience and an ability to manage budgets, control costs, and develop processes and procedures related to New Product Introduction. The ideal individual must have comprehensive skills using project management software tools (Microsoft Project is preferred), strong organizational skills, experience working in an ISO 9000 quality system, familiarity with OEM and Retail Supply Chain Management and MRP systems, and a proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment. The individual must be self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have also demonstrated ability to work well with people and have a proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team. In addition, the individual must have the abilities to work effectively cross-functionally, coordinate priorities and initiatives, troubleshoot and analyze complex problems, and to manage m
ultiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are required while experience working with subcontractors and familiarity with large OEMs and retailers’ processes, retail packaging & fulfillment, manufacturing, software/firmware releases, and data storage peripherals is desired.
