The Senior Financial Analyst is a member of the Verisign Financial Planning & Analysis organization.  The position reports to the VP of Finance, with responsibility for administering and maintaining the integrity of the financial planning and reporting for one or more product or functional operating organization of Verisign.  The incumbent will be called upon to provide forecast, analytic support, budgets and provide support to senior finance and business management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish & maintain relationships with key personnel (i.e. executives & staff) in the operating organization and serve as a key point of contact for all finance issues
Acquire and maintain a deep understanding of the strategies, priorities and issues of the organizations supported
Lead the coordination, organization and execution of quantitative and qualitative analyses.  Examples of activities include traditional budgeting and forecasting, month end/quarterly close and financial reporting, business case development and planning support
While financial analysis is an important element of the role, the emphasis is on applying overall analytical skills and experience to become a highly valued business partner

Must demonstrate well-developed strategic, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Must be detailed oriented
Collaborate easily and successfully with all levels of management in a matrix organization structure.
Operate with minimal supervision and able to make informed, well-reasoned decisions independently

Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to contribute new ideas and find solutions to business challenges for the operating organization
Demonstrated experience with complex financial systems ( e.g. Oracle, Hyperion)
Proficient in financial modeling using advanced functions of Excel
BS/BA in Accounting or Finance, with 6+ years of experience with progressively increasing responsibility
