Job description:
Covestic is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Consultant to join our growing Business Intelligence practice focused on developing innovative customer solutions.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Microsoft products and be an experienced data warehouse/BI data architecture professional able to design and implement data warehouse structures and streamline the capture and cleansing of data relevant to our client. Candidates should have background in consumer web analytics, advertising effectiveness data and performing web log processing and business analysis.
This role is located in the LA area. Travel will be allowed to the client’s location from the western US.
Required qualifications:
Minimum 5 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2000/2005) including DTS, Analysis Services, and MySQL programming.
3+ years of experience in SAS, Oracle, Informatica, Cognos, Hyperion, DTS and SSIS
Extensive experience in: Database administration, Data integration / ETL, Dimensional data warehouse, Data lifecycle management, Data quality management, Data delivery / Reporting, Data mining / Predictive Analytics, OLAP ‘ Analysis Services, Project SDLC methodologies
Demonstrated experience architecting business intelligence solutions including logical data modeling, data integration using XML, and data lifecycle processing.
Expert level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Pivot Tables, Macro development, charting, and data analysis.
Must be familiar with common SDLC methodologies, agile development practices, and software configuration management.
Helpful skills include Multi-dimensional query (MDX) development, Microsoft Business Scorecard Manager 2005, and Microsoft SharePoint (2003/2007).
