Position: Sr. Network Architect

Location: Broomfield, CO

Job Details:

This position will provide architecture support to design and deploy
internal infrastructure improvements and changes as well as customer
engagements. This position will also provide tier 3 operational support for
all network related activities within the Data Center and customer networks
on an as needed basis. This position will require string network technical
skills along with customer interaction to coordinate network design and
implementation activities. Key tasks for this position include:

- Support Data Center network change control assignments and work within the network operations team along with other teams as appropriate to
complete work tasks
- Develop strong working relationships with all Data Center staff to ensure buy-in to meet critical and often urgent deadlines
- Work with Account Managers to set appropriate and realistic timelines for network projects and work efforts
- Continually help to refine processes to streamline work for both
managed network customers and non-managed network customers
- Support technical sales support efforts with new and existing customers relating to network architecture and design
- Support customer network design, testing and installation activities.
- Support frame relay, private line, and MPLS/IPVPN circuit technologies.
- Support short and long term initiatives.

Qualifications/Education Required:

- 10+ years of network design/implementation and network operations
support or consulting experience with large corporate customers, specifically in a large enterprise environment

- Cisco certification of CCNP required or CCIE preferred.

- In depth knowledge of routers, firewalls, switches, and CSU network devices

- In depth knowledge of routing protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.

- 5+ years of Cisco network device configuration experience

- Experience with Netscreen and CISCO firewalls preferred.

- Experience with MPLS/IPVPN required.

- Computer Science or engineering degree (bachelor of science or equivalent) is preferred

- Demonstrates strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Solid oral and written communication skills, and demonstrated use of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio

Compensation:

80-115K+ depending on years of relevant experience, education,
etc.
