Summary:

The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt for our Finance organization will be responsible for driving process improvements, increasing efficiency, reducing cycle time and costs throughout the Finance organization.

Reports into the Director of Process Excellent but will work very closely with the controller and CFO on projects. Role is global in nature.

You will drive Financial/MIS Systems process efficiencies, with a focus in the following areas:

Financial close and account reconciliation processes

Enterprise financial reporting systems - Oracle applications - Business Objects & Business Intelligence

MIS project prioritization and business alignment

Detailed Responsibilities:

- Conceive, lead, coach, and manage multiple Six Sigma and Lean improvement projects as prioritized by senior management in order to systematically drive and implement process improvements throughout the Finance organization

- Apply project management, DMAIC, DFSS and Lean methodologies to complete projects and deliver process and financial results in specified timeframes

- Incorporate Voice of the Customer/Voice of the Process requirements and data analysis in all process improvements

- Identify and track financial benefits of LSS projects

- Develop and institutionalize appropriate metrics including dashboards, scorecards and productivity reporting

- Participate in scorecard reviews, determine key drivers of customer satisfaction goals and execute customer-focused improvement initiatives

- Influence, collaborate and communicate with all levels of employees and management

- Identify, leverage and share best practices across the Process Excellence function

- Mentor Black Belts and Green Belts and provide training in Lean and Six Sigma concepts

Required Skills and Competencies:

- BS/BA degree in finance or accounting required - MBA and/or CPA preferred

- Six Sigma Black Belt certification strongly preferred

- Strong understanding of Lean concepts and Six Sigma methodologies via completion of formal training

- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with PC proficiency in Minitab, Visio and Microsoft Office

- 5-8 years work experience in finance/accounting roles

- 3+ years experience leading and completing Black Belt/Green Belt Projects, Action Works Outs/Kaizen Events with proven financial track record

- Prior Lean in Finance experience and/or deployment preferred

- Prior experience in financial close and account reconciliation processes and/or enterprise financial reporting systems preferred

- Demonstrated high performance history; proven ability to execute and get results

- Self-directed and able to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment

- Superior interpersonal, facilitation, and coaching skills

- Ability to influence and gain commitment at all organizational levels

- Proven experience with planning and executing change

- Outstanding project management and team leadership ability

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills

- High level of energy and enthusiasm and ability to energize others desired

- Ability to travel up to 25% - Including International
