Senior Technical Support Engineer (ideally strong database experience)
Tech Support - San Carlos, CA, United States
Resolve problems and answer questions of varying complexity for fortune 500 Customers and Partners.
Provide technical insight to customers and Partners on the interaction of the products with underlying hardware and overlaying applications, in order to provide optimal system efficiency.
Isolation and reproduction of product problems, file reports, and assist development to provide timely work-arounds and fixes to our customers.
Actively participate and contribute to new product features in conjunct
Skills/Knowledge Required:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Willing to work midnight/early morning hours
A highly positive and friendly personality
Enjoy working in a highly technical team environment
The ability to learn quickly
Strong desire to help people with a broad range of technical abilities
Interest in examining, investigating, and solving dynamic problems
Strongly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
Good understanding of LINUX and Windows NT environments
Some C, C++ and/or Scripting Languages
Strong SQL/Relational database experience. Good knowledge of RDBMS internals (preferably multiple RDBMS systems)
Good knowledge of data warehousing.
