Position Responsibilities - Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Enterprise Architecture a Senior
Software Engineer is responsible for overseeing and participating in user
interface development efforts for external customers and/or internal
projects.

- Works with business users to design user-friendly applications
using .NET in a Winforms and web-based environment
- Participates in all phases of the software development life cycle
- Evaluates and makes recommendation on development related
technologies

Required Skills and Competencies:
- 5+ years software/application development experience
- Strong experience with UI development & Winforms & Web based
activities
- 2+ years using .NET  (VS2008, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, web services a
plus)
- XML and XSD with XSLT a plus
- P&C Insurance industry experience a big plus
- Ability to work independently
- Comfortable working directly with clients
- Ability to accurately estimate development efforts
- Ability to work effectively on multiple efforts simultaneously
- Good team player
- Ability to step into multiple roles on an as-needed basis
