Position: Software Strategist

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer
to join the Virtualization team. The Virtualization team develops
software for storage virtualization, load balancing, and high-end SAN
data services. Data services include volume and snapshot creation,
volume cloning, and remote replication. The successful candidate will
have proven technical skills - employing new technologies to solve
difficult problems; working with senior staff to plan and size
individual projects; prioritizing and designing enhancements; and
producing high-quality, well-tested code.

The successful candidate must have contributed to the development of a
commercially available software product on a UNIX platform in a senior
capacity. They should be able to demonstrate proficiency in design,
coding, and software architecture for this environment. Particular
emphasis will be placed on experience in building and delivering stable,
serviceable solutions in an independent fashion. The candidate should
have the exemplary communications skills needed to interact effectively
with members of the various technical teams within our engineering
organization.

This individual must have a BSCS (MSCS preferred) with 8 or more years
of software development experience in C/C++ on a UNIX platform. Finally,
the candidate should have experience among the following sets of skills:

- Strong C++ experience and either direct experience with object
oriented design or a demonstrated understanding of the concepts.
- Experience with persistent storage internals such as logical
volume management, file systems, database, or transaction processing.
- Significant experience with multi-threaded and/or asynchronous
programming
- Excellent debugging skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Linux, UNIX, or an embedded operating system.
