Summary:
This is a senior technical project management position in a fast paced software development environment for a successful networking company. You will lead and manage cutting edge projects which will have development and QA resources across the globe. You will also need to have high energy and be highly motivated, have demonstrated success in a fast paced project management environment.

This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and outstanding communications skills (written, verbal, and presentation). This individual will interface with numerous groups and must be able to quickly form productive and positive working relationships with staff with varying technical backgrounds and skill levels across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and directing multiple delivery teams on each assigned project ranging from small to large in size
- Manage the entire day to day software development project Management for all of Engineering’s software development work, including offshore partnerships, the costs and impact to the Engineering budget, and project and resource planning for assigned projects
- Take part in project and resource planning for short term and long term projects and product releases
- Generate detailed Microsoft project plans, working with Development and QA Managers, and manage and track these projects on an ongoing basis, including many concurrent projects
- Oversee/monitor all other resources to ascertain the project is meeting all critical specifications and is on schedule and within budget
- Analyze and resolve resource loading, and project integration issues using centralized Microsoft project resource pooling
- Proactively manage projects throughout the Project management life cycle and SDLC
- Capable of managing multiple projects/releases at any time

Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other technical field
- Experience managing and coordinating remote locations
- Experience generating, managing and tracking detailed project plans (Advanced proficiency with Microsoft project)
- Experience with managing budgets and accurate reporting for budgets/actual spent
- Knowledge of software development and related processes
- Project Management experience in high-tech companies
- Advanced proficiency in MS Project, Excel and other MS Office Products
- Strong leadership qualities with ability to drive and motivate others
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and willingness to stretch to achieve aggressive goals.
