Required Experience and Skills:
. Professional experience developing any service-oriented software, especially with scaling, QOS, and up time requirements. Must be able to explain applicable techniques.
. Database experience.
. Experience with several programming languages required. Object oriented programming in at least one language is essential.
. Programming in a UNIX-based (or Linux) environment.
. Must have relevant experience in reviewing designs, specifications, schedules, and resource estimates.
. Cross functional skills: must be able to communicate other groups to agree on testing requirements, hardware specifications, deployment configurations, scheduling, etc.
. Development schedule and resource estimates.
. Comfortable working in a group with several ongoing concurrent projects.
. 5+ years experience in directly relevant role.
Primary Responsibilities:
. Work closely with a cross functional team to design new features.
. Review and sign off on requirements documents.
. Write specification documents and drive sign-off.
. Implement new features and extend existing functionality.
. Think “outside the box” and be an idea generator for new solutions
