Position Responsibilities - Summary:
The Sr. Configuration & Release Engineer is responsible for Software Configuration and Release Management for multiple large-scale systems. The ideal candidate must have significant configuration management and release engineering experience, along with extensive experience with software methodologies in a fast-paced web software engineering environment.

Position Responsibilities - Detailed:
- Produce automated software builds using variety of open source, scripting and proprietary tools.

- Plan and coordinate build and release schedules to all environments.

- Develop detail implementation and Roll-back plans for major releases.

- Develop, and implement version control processes and procedures, source code change control and release mechanisms for software development.

- Developing change management processes, and creating and maintaining procedures for building and releasing products to various environments.

- Perform builds and releases, and develop and maintain scripts for automation of builds and audit processes.

- Collaborate with development, QA and other operation teams to ensure delivery of reliable, reproducible products.

- Troubleshoot and resolve build issues in conjunction with development teams.

- Administration of Configuration and Release Management tools ‘ i.e. TeamTrack, ClearCase, Subversion, CVS, Perforce.

Required Skills and Competencies:
- BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent related experience.

- ITIL certification.

- 5+ years experience as a Release Engineer/Manager or Configuration Engineer.

- 5+ years experience developing and automating builds using Make, ANT, nANT, Ksh scripts

- 3+ years experience administration of Configuration Management tools ¡V Subversion, CVS, and Perforce.

- 3+ years administration of Change Management tools, TeamTrack, ClearCase, Remedy

- 2+ years experience build and release automation ¡V Maven, CruiseControl

- 2+ years experience administering WebLogic, Tomcat

- 3+ years development experience of commercial/enterprise business systems with Microsoft and Java technologies

- Reasonable knowledge of Linux/Windows server platforms

- Thorough knowledge of Relational DB’s, such as Oracle (9i, and 10g), SQL Server, Stored Procedures and PL/SQL

- Experience with Scrum/Agile development cycles

- Experience setting up and maintaining Continuous Integration Development Systems

- Experience with large complex fast paced operating environments
