Director, Global Account Manager & Head of Pasadena Branch (Governance & Compliance)
(This would be an ideal role for someone that has treasury experience with a fortune 500 experience)

Global Account Manager

The GAM will be responsible for managing client relationships in order to become the trusted relationship bank of choice for the client and to maximize share of wallet and return its shareholders. GAM will proactively market and manage existing and prospective clients to achieve agreed revenue and volume targets for assigned clients.

GAM will:

n Know the customer best. nProvide access and influence with client’s key decision makers. nIdentify and qualify opportunities to optimally satisfy client needs and meet our objectives. n Co-ordinate resources internally to execute delivery to clients. n Highlight and assist in addressing credit risk and compliance related concerns.       n Assume responsibility for general account management discipline. n Provide all necessary support to SCS, Credit and MIS functions as relates to their role on the client portfolio. nExemplify the values of the Group in all undertakings.

Head of Pasadena Branch (Compliance):
- Implementation of Global standards of risk and control, systems and processes (including compliance).

- Good relationship with regulators with ability to contribute and where possible influence policy formulation. Keep abreast of all the changes in the global environment and give the regulators a good feel of SCB Americas/OCC strategy and what we are trying to achieve.

- To ensure adherence to proper conduct and professional behavior of all Pasadena staff and enforcement of disciplinary action on deviation from such desired behaviour.

- Develops business plans to ensure that revenue targets are achieved.

- Works with customers to secure both new business and to deepen the existing business relationship.

- Has accountability for identifying and developing relationships with critical key new clients

- Directly manages key relationships with existing and potential clients with a view to leveraging further business and widening the portfolio.

- Tailors existing products to meet individual customer needs.

- Acts as a conduit of information on customer preferences, specific product feedback and future product requirements to product management colleagues.

- Provides feedback to marketing and product management colleagues on efficacy of marketing strategies and tactics, and customer experience of the products and services offered.

Works closely with counterparts in other countries to ensure a consistent approach to client management, marketing, and product positioning in the region.

- Manages credit quality standards through effective management of risk according to SCB policies in place.

- Fosters strong relationships between product management and sales with a view to maximizing the potential opportunities associated with integrated delivery.

- Develops individuals within the team to ensure effective succession planning and secure the future growth of the business.

Customer & Franchise Management:
- Provide the strategic leadership with our GC Pasadena clients, particularly in originating and closing large transactions.

- Manage global origination activity for GC Pasadena Client Relationships.

- Identification of customer opportunities, both in-country and globally.

- External communication including media.

Financial Management:
Provide support to Head of GC in meeting overall Pasadena Branch budget objectives.

People & Talent Management
- Responsibility for all GC Pasadena staff. Work closely with the Head of GC North America in the appointment and management of compensation and career development.

- Develop individuals within the team to ensure effective succession planning and secure the future growth of the business.

Governance, Risk Management & Compliance

- AML and client appropriateness ensure the Pasadena Branch meets its obligations on the prevention of money laundering under the Group Policy and Standards and under local laws and regulations.

- Readiness of local infrastructure in line with Global standards to support current and planned business volumes.

- Ensure KYC and compliance standards are implemented to Group requirements and Operational Risk compliance is ensured.

Requirements:
- Minimum of ten (10) Years of experience in client relationship management.
- Director, Global Account Manager & Head of Pasadena Branch
- High level strategic capability with deep client insight and ability to add strategic value to clients. Also able to see future trends and impact on the business. A deep understanding of corporate finance and relevant FM products.
- Confidence, maturity and balance in business and interpersonal dealings.
- Business judgment including both Credit & Business risk assessments.
- Broad knowledge of banking practices and local banking regulation.
- Strong leadership ability to manage and motivate a culturally diverse team.
- Good analytical, research, negotiating and decision-making skills.
- Ability to market and establish client relationships at the most senior of levels.
- Credibility and confidence to be able to manage deliver within and handle a matrix organization.
- Strong communicator at all levels of the organization  internally & externally.
