Position Responsibilities - Summary:
Client is seeking a senior manager to lead an Equity Trading Support group.
This management position will oversee a small team of senior trading support
specialists that provide 24×7 support to Research Equity Traders and
business operations personnel. This critical support position requires the
ability to deliver an exceptional level of customer service in a
high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the equity trading help desk team to ensure the highest
possible level of support to traders and ops personnel.
- Proactively manage all supported technology platforms including
workstations, monitors, data walls and printers.
- Ensure timely updates to business and technology stakeholders on
major service issues.
- Coordinate technology priorities and projects with the Technology
Client Relationship manager.
- Provide level 1 support for all supported business and enterprise
software applications.
- Support the business with the ongoing maintenance and testing of
their disaster recovery plans.
- Ensure premium support and technology infrastructure stability is
delivered to investment professionals
- Manage IT-related support relationships with vendors, local
business management and the global client organization - application support
(level 2), trading turrets, voicemail, network, storage, data walls and
multimedia.
- Implement technology projects and technical support according to
policies and procedures established by the Technology Support and Operations
division.
- Establish appropriate operational metrics that convey the quality
and quantity of technology work taking place in the office.
- Experience with FIX protocols, market data applications, broker
connections and electronic trading environments are required.

Required Skills and Competencies:
Candidates seeking consideration must have significant experience in all or
most of the following areas:

Operations Management:
- 5-7 years of management experience in technology operations role.
- Experience in developing scalable support models aligned with
technology partner and customer needs.
- General planning and managing desktop-related projects and
changes.
- Maintaining hardware inventories and ensuring proper spare
equipment is at hand and in a proper state.
- Strong understanding of problem and change management best
practices.

Investment Technology Infrastructure Management
- Strong foundation in several of the following operating systems:
Windows, Unix/Linux etc.
- 5-7 years experience supporting XP workstations and MS-Office
applications.
- Demonstrable success in an environment with frequently changing
priorities is critical.
- Experience with FIX protocols, market data applications, broker
connections and electronic trading environments are highly desired.

Education and Experience:
- Undergraduate degree preferred coupled with 5-7 years of
equivalent work experience.
- Previous trading floor support experience required - Strong
business side knowledge required
