Position: Event and Sponsorship Manager
Location: San Francisco

This is initially a consulting position for a large asset management company. The position is based in San Francisco.

The Events & Sponsorship Team is responsible for developing and executing the program, content, marketing and activation strategy for sponsored events, 3rd-party conferences, and sponsorships. This will include developing annual event, sponsorship and conference strategy, negotiating sponsorship agreements, managing brand, content development and marketing communications deliverables.
Marketing Manager, Sponsorships & Events
Events and Sponsorships Support (35%)
- Work with Events & Sponsorship team, sales and corporate events teams to support activation and execution of client events and sponsorships – including advertising, marketing communications, compliance approvals and sales coordination
- Manage client invitation, RSVP and confirmation process
- Provide on-site support as needed

Third-Party Conference Sponsorships (35%)
- Support third-party conferences including marketing communications, event planning, exhibit design, staffing and exhibit scheduling, registrations, collateral ordering, hospitality arrangements, promotions, logistics, on-site set-up and breakdown, and field sales communications.
- Provide day-to-day management of experiential marketing agency, including coordinating sales training, managing and ordering inventory, developing/managing online ordering tool, and acting as liaison for trouble-shooting and sales support
- Provide coordination for Tier 2, Home Office and Regional conferences, including ordering tradeshow materials, managing logistics, coordinating with sales on staffing, registrations and exhibit scheduling, and on-site set-up and breakdown
- Review deliverables from partners and agencies to insure they meet objectives defined in strategic and creative briefs.
- Support pre- and post-conference communications and post-event lead management
- Provide on-site support as needed
- Coordinate event briefings and de-briefs, develop conference summaries, analyze cost-per-impression, and develop recommendations for future sponsorship levels

Program Management and Analysis (30%)
- Maintain master calendar of events and conferences.
- Support development of internal site for events team and sales to access information about upcoming and past events and conferences - including reporting, training, approved speakers and topics, success stories and best practices, and resources to support event planning and participation. Manage conference and hospitality content and resources on site.
- Research upcoming conference opportunities and sponsorships.
- Work with market research team to develop and apply consistent standards for client evaluation forms across all events and conferences
- Manage integration of attendee data from events and conferences into CRM (e.g., SLX) system.
- Collect RSVP, registration question, event survey and attendee data and develop post-event summaries for internal distribution
- Run ad-hoc reports and analyses using CRM tools and work with Metrics and Analytics team to support ongoing event and conference reporting and analysis.
