The Advanced Value Chain Solutions (AVCS) team seeks an experienced Solutions Consultant to support the development and deployment of value chain solutions. The selected candidate will be responsible for defining and delivering the business solutions architecture, as well as for developing capability roadmaps for CVCM. Solutions Consultants will work cross-functionally to identify policy, process, system & data requirements for CVCM capabilities and solutions. The position requires significant process and program management expertise, broad supply chain knowledge, and a proven ability to drive business architecture solutions across multiple functional and cross-functional tracks.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for engaging CVCM and non-CVCM stakeholders to identify new requirements and capabilities needed for CVCM to support Cisco corp. priorities, acquisitions & new business models.
- Engage with CBOC, OTEB, CBTO, OAPT, and others to translate strategy into capability and solutions requirements for CVCM
- Engage with an identified CVCM function to understand capabilities, processes, gaps, and solution requirements
 Solutions Consultants will be aligned to at least one key function within CVCM e.g., Product Ops, Demand Management & Planning, Manufacturing Ops, etc.
- Work with the Operations Advanced Planning Team (OAPT) to determine strategy for enabling new business models — drives integration of new Business Model requirements and solutions into CVCM
- Work with Commerce Business Transformation Office (CBTO) to provide input into the Commerce Integrated Capabilities Roadmaps, as well as to determine CVCM requirements to support a fully integrated end-to-end customer experience
- Responsible for developing a CVCM business architecture capability
- Mapping and modeling business capabilities (L1-L3) to business processes (L4+)
- Identifying process dependencies and scheduling capability development efforts.
- Modeling based on stakeholders, business entities and their integration points
- Conducting gap analysis between the current and target business capabilities (underlying processes, people, policies and tools) required to meet business goals and vision
- Tracking dependencies and project impacts across the organization to drive project alignment to architectural strategy
- Responsible for working collaboratively to develop an integrated capabilities roadmap for CVCM
- Work with stakeholders to develop a 2-3 year enablement plan for CVCM business capabilities (process, data, system, people, policy)
- Ensure CVCM’s capabilities roadmap addresses strategic and operational priorities from across the company, shows sequencing based on incremental value, cost, business priorities and preceding critical path dependencies, and is anchored on 2-3 year budget outlook
- Provides guidance to the CVCM GPO Council on capability gaps and propose solutions for closing gaps
- Leverage business architecture to pursue modular, reusable capabilities across value chains
- Ensure capabilities support Cisco’s segmentation strategy and are based upon industry best-practices
- Work with GPO Council to determine priority and ensure alignment of AVCS and non-AVCS initiatives
- Work with the CVCM PMO to drive operationalization of solutions.

Skills Needed:
- Broad supply chain knowledge and practical experience
- 5+ years of consulting experience required
- Very limited travel involved (10% max)
- Supply Chain Design experience in the PC/Server marketplace which includes:
Commodities - Memory, Processors and Hard Disk Drive
- Understanding of revelent global forces driving comodity pricing/supply
- Developed innovations in Supply Base Management
- Developed long-term strategies to manage risk across the supply chain
- Developed commodity hedging strategies
- Creation of new supply chain models/methods for sustainable competitve advantage
- Creation of regional supply chain models for relevant local markets

- Ability to engage credibly with CVCM functions
- Exceptional aptitude - ability to quickly understand Cisco’s and external supply chain processes, policies & systems
- Ability to translate strategy into clear action plans and lead teams to a common goal
- Strong program / project management skills
- Business analyst experience
- Ability to quickly solve problems and drive teams to solutions - ability to write clear problem statements that get to the root cause of the issue?
- Quickly earns credibility and trust with stakeholders through open communication

- Knowledge of DMAIC or Quality principles and application, general systems concepts, ROI, budget management and general business models
- Typically requires BA/BS degree with 5 to 7 years or work experience equivalent and 2 to 3 years process improvement experience or equivalent.
- Masters degree preferred.
- Facilitating large cross-functional and/or global teams
