Our client, a global leader in the development and manufacture of
information technology and services needs to fill an opening for a
Solutions Architect.

JOB DESCRIPTION - RESPONSIBILITIES:
Solutions Architect
- Analyze technical and business requirements
- Define capacity and performance requirements
- Work with lead architect and production to develop Key Performance
Indicators
- Work with project manager and lead architect to analyze capacity
of “as is” and “to be” states
- Define availability requirements
- Work with project manager and lead architect to define migration
processes
- Work with project manager and lead architect to define migration
back out processes
- Provide high level design diagrams for migration of Windows
systems from data center to datacenter
- Provide high level design diagrams for migration of Windows
systems data from data center to datacenter
- Architect will produce technical design document based on ITSA
methodology
- TDD will cover Business, Functional, Technical and Implementation
level views of solution
- TDD will define how solution meets requirements of each view,
including Capacity and Performance, Availability and Operational
requirements

Design Review:
- Review design with lead Architect
- Conduct design reviews with project and production resources
Implementation Support:
- Provide implementation support during migration production phases
- Provide consulting and advise
- If required escalate issues with, VMware and Microsoft Technical
Support
- Provide implementation oversight during and after project
implementation to ensure design fidelity
- Deviations from design will be addressed before production
migration if possible, if not possible, deviation will be addressed
after production implementation and before project closure

REQUIRED SKILLS - EXPERIENCE:
In addition to standard Solution Architect skills, the following skill
set is needed:
- Windows Platform and Data Migration Design Support
- Master level experience with Microsoft Windows Operating System
- Expert level experience with VMWare virtualization technology
- Expert level understanding of SAN based storage as it relates to
Windows and VMWare
- 5-10 years experience designing solutions for Windows platforms
using VMWare

Following experience a plus:
- Experience in Windows data and platform migrations
- Experience in working with DIRECTV
