- Patch Cluster Log
- Installation of Solaris 10
- Boot
- Patching/Packaging

Required skills/experience for Senior Level:
- LDOM’s
- ZFS
- Zones
- Jumpstart
- Live Upgrade
- Flash Archive
- Open Solaris

Education:

BS Degree or equivalent and/or Solaris Certifications (9 or 10) a huge

Responsibilities:

Provide TIER 2 technical support to customers running Solaris. **Through phone support, customer interaction, research, etc, diagnose challenging problems with top customers and following up to gather information that will help resolve client issues. When not on queue, remainder of time
will be spent doing ‘case management’ (essentially, behind-the-scenes research, problem replication, interaction with the Engineering team, and collaboration with other colleagues to determine the root cause of the problem and bring the issue to resolution with the client). While heavy phone support - this also requires Mid-Sr level “hands on” experience.
This is a very collaborative environment (Operating System (OS) support desk), leveraging technology (knowledge base, real time online chat rooms, etc.) to share information and drive customer satisfaction.
